NOT ONLY DID I NEED YELLOW

I need bright and airy. How did I do that? Well it was in the dining room. This is my dining room window area before changing paint and putting up white trim and chair rail.

Oops this picture is before we put chair rail up and trim, but look at the windows, I have copper rust color curtains up. we added those last year after painting walls soft gray and trim from orange oak to white..Not showing in this pic I also recovered the chairs in white and black...anyways I can see the dining room windows from the family room, and all the sun comes in the front windows. I need SUNSHINE so...

TA DA!!! I took down the copper curtains and added the new white linen...So much lighter and brighter.

This makes for a much better mood and warmth from the sun, when it shines...So this is my new look for spring and summer....AHHHHH

I TRIED BOTH OF THE RECIPES..

I have been asked to share these two wonderful recipes I made Sunday night, so here they are Lady's. First Recipe was this delicious Sour Cream and Cherry Coffee Cake...And very easy to do, just what I like. I got this recipe from one of the bloggers I read at Mommy's Kitchen. Recipes that remind you of home.
Sour Cream & Cherry Coffee Cake
1 - 18 oz package white cake mix
1 - 8 oz container sour cream
3 - eggs
1/4 - cup water
1 - 21 oz can Lucky Leaf cherry pie filling
1/4 - cup sliced almonds, optional
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a jelly-roll pan or 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
Mix together the sour cream, eggs and water.
Combine with the cake mix.
Spread mixture into a greased baking dish and drop the pie filling over the batter in spoonfuls.
Make sure to swirl the pie filling throughout the batter.
If not the pie filling will settle in the middle.
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through.
Test with toothpick for doneness.
Cool in pan and drizzle with a simple icing if desired.
Simple Icing
1 ½ - cups powdered sugar
2 - tablespoons milk
½ - teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
Blend all the ingredients together until smooth. Drizzle over coffee cake and garnish with sliced almonds.
This is picture of cake before going in the oven.

And after before icing was drizzled. The family loved it, and some ate two pieces that night. I would like to try it with blueberry pie filling. I don't like Cherry but a lot of people do..Very quick and good.
Thanks again to Mommy's Kitchen Blog...Head over a check out all her other great recipe's.

Now my next recipe I read from another blog. This is a picture of soup before cream and cheese...

Second recipe I tried was from Cheri at cheriquitecontrary.blogspot.com It is Creamy Cheeseburger Soup...This is what you need

1 package ground beef
Onions, garlic, seasonings, bell peppers, optional
4 cups beef broth
3 cups diced potatoes
4 tsp. butter, melted
4 tsp. flour or 2 tsp. corn starch
2 cups light cream
8 oz. Velveeta cheese

First brown hamburger onions and I put 3 cloves of crushed garlic ( love my garlic)

Then Drain.

Add 4 cups of Beef Broth

Bring to a boil and add potatoes turn heat down and cook about 20 minutes

In sauce pan melt butter and add corn starch till thickens...( I did not do this part)

I next added velveeta cheese in chunks till melted

on low heat add half and half...

Now you can look at her recipe on her blog after thickening butter and corn starch she added to soup then cream and cheese..

So this is the basic recipe...I had 2 pds beef was going to double but couldn't find more beef broth.

A friend said she adds sour cream...

Let me know if you try it and what you think..

Tonight I am taking the rest of the soup adding hashbrown potato's and dumping soup over it with more velveeta and I will bake it and have it as a casserole.

Thank you Cheri for sharing...Stop by and check Cheri's blog out.

Have a wonderful blessed day everyone, enjoy and stay safe and warm with this awful snow and ice we are getting.
HUGS,
Jolyn
