LET THE PAINTING BEGIN...

After a good 2 weeks we are getting paint finished up. We ran into lets say a snag with the first painter..I will just say you try and help someone out because they need the work and it was pure misery. That is all I will say on that. So we called our painter that does work for Mike and I and some Of mikes stores, he came 2 days later at 7 am and was on time....and got all trim and doors painted with primer and 2 coats of paint done in 1 1/2 days.. Wheww glad that drama is over. Today Dad had off and got up and started the walls. This picture is of their closet in the bedroom. The color wall is Taupe, got it at home depot. The trim of course is white.
This is living area wall and doorway into bedroom. It looks really nice and fresh. Mom saw it this morning and almost lost it, This is so dark I don't want brown......But look at it now with all the white painted over...

Before any paint and these doors are the wrong ones. Theirs has glass panel's, so this comes down and new will go up.

Closet area

Living area, we had all doors in there to be sprayed.

Dad trimming and this is what Mom saw and thought would be so dark..it does look it up against all white.
Tomorrow Dad is off again and he will finish up paint. The electrician is scheduled for tomorrow also to put all lights up
Then Dad will be laying hard wood floors...we are getting closer..Oh also meeting tomorrow with lady for kitchen cabinets....
Have a wonderful night I'm going to watch the first NFL game of the season and it is my PITTSBURGH STEELERS vs Titans....
Go Steelers...Gold and Black Attack!!!!
Love you all and God bless you.

HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY AUTUMN

My sweet baby girl turned 14 yesterday at noon. Oh how time fly's. Yesterday was a crazy good day, but alot going on. Autumn had cheer practice right after school till 5. From 5-8 the cheerleaders had a fundraiser at Friendly's. And of course I had my football fantasy draft picks that started at 6..So Autumn spent time with her BFF'S and then came home around 7:30 and draft picks we were done at 8. Even though we are celebrating her birthday on Saturday with some family, her Daddy said she needed a cake on her birthday and sung to. So we did a little party with us and my parents.
She just blew out her candles and just looking at her cake. How sweet. Autumn I love you so much. I pray you have many more wonderful years. Stay true to yourself and always keep your Lord #1 through everything. I am so proud of you.

I gave her one of her gifts, a new night light for her new bedroom that we are redoing. She loves black and white zebra. I got this at Kirklands.

Card and gift from her Grandparents..

oops double picture again..somebody please tell me how to get this off once it has been uploaded on...
Thanks, I wish everyone a blessed week.

FAMILY, FUN & FELLOWSHIP

Here we are, all on the bridge except 3 of us. What a Family I have.. And now we also know this bridge is very well built...come with me and meet this clan...
It is so great when we can all be together, this is our 10Th year I believe. There is now 38 of us. That includes my Mom, her sister and two brothers. Then my cousins 10 of us, and our children 14 total there. So add the spouses and we are a FAMILY OF 38. The girls on the slip and slide. Stephanie, Kennedy and Emily. How fun..

We are getting pictures of each group. This is going to be our parents, My parents, Aunt Karen far left and Aunt Elsie in middle. The other four are coming, it takes them a little longer to get to the bridge now a days...But we love you.

My wonderful sweet Autumn and her dear sweet friend Kylie on top of the barn roof. Actually they were trying to scare me when I came walking to the car to leave...The roof on one side touches the ground or I would have freaked...

It was a great day, sun shining, upper 70's low 80's. Some sat back and relaxed, Aunt Karen, Aunt Elsie, Uncle Larry, Uncle Earl and my cousin Sara.

Other's had much more energy, so they chose to do diving..Good jump Autumn!!!

And others played volley ball and slip and slide. It was a pretty big one, lots of water and soap.
See the water fountain in the pond? It is so nice to listen to.

And anyone that came around me got their picture taken...One of my cousin's Jen, my Mom and her Sister that would be my Aunt....I know of course you knew that.

This is the bridge off the back of my aunt and uncles back yard leading to the pool area. It is so tranquil here, out in the country away from everyone. So back to the pictures I haven't bored you yet, have I??? Here are my children and the 2ND cousins and all 14 are here. This is a great group, ages 16 1/2 down to 1years old..

Now the Patriarch's of the family, My parents and aunt's and Uncles. We love you all so much!! Their parents, my awesome Grandparents are know longer with us on earth, but will forever be in all our hearts. We love you Grandpa and Grandma you were the best and taken way to soon. They would be in their mid 90's...

Now the middle group my cousins and I. There is 10 of us we are missing 2 today. And yes you were missed. One was in Vegas, other had to work. I am of course the oldest.. I don't look it do I?? OK you plead the fifth..well at least I don't feel it. Are ages go from 44 soon to be 45 but not yet...down to the big 3 0....In April we have a wedding planned for the youngest, Then we will be a family of 39.

Aunt Elsie and Uncle Larry I thank you both so much for opening up your home to us all every year. It gives us all time to visit together and stay in touch.

Until next year I love you all, may we always be close and keep together. Hope to see everyone in December..

Love,

Jolyn

MOM'S 45TH CLASS REUNION

Class of 1964...Tonight Mom and Dad went to Mom's 45Th reunion. This picture was taken because the scaffiling was up in the foyer and she couldn't see what she looked like in the full length mirror. So I said come in the family room and I will take your picture and you can see. Doesn't she look beautiful? Oh she has been around her grand daughter to much now we need a picture of her French Manicure. This is a look at me picture.

My parents as they were leaving. How blest I am to still have my parents and that they are still together after 45 years of marriage.
OK she has definitely been around the teenagers to much, now Grandma has her tongue sticking out... Mom I yell at Autumn for that...NO TONQUES OUT!!!

She was getting in the car to leave and said oh wait this picture is for Autumn...Yep this is it!!!

HONEY WHAT DO YOU HAVE PLANNED TODAY? NOTHING!!

HYMMM!! I said nothing and look what I got...My foyer painted...Yippy...He said do you have your color picked for the foyer....aaahhh,,yesss. You bet I grabbed my swatches and away I went picking it out...Oh yes Honey, I want this color. It's by Sherwin Williams, and he was already walking in with the scaffolding. Wow he must have been in the mood to paint..I'm glad I didn't have plans. I should say Oh nothing planned and I could get more done around here...After 25 years of marriage I'm just finding this out...GOOD GRIEF....OK I'm a little slow..LOL Scaffolding going up, I don't know how he does this. Our foyer is two stories high..
My autumn is asking Dad are you sure you will be OK?? Dad says I think...Autumns says YOU THINK!!! MOM dad said....Autumn dear your dad and I built this home our self, everything except brick and block...Dad does know what he's doing..See my two children don't remember when their Dad had a job that was physical, they see him now and what he does..

Anyways, I got off track there, this is the entrance to our home, the circle top window I had wood grids on the very top window and I think I will leave it out for awhile. Boy were the windows and chandelier dusty....

Hubby left to get paint and I started taping the trim. He doesn't need the tape but since I do I think everyone does. He is very good trimming around things. Well that was our day and tomorrow we have a family reunion so I know it won't get finished then, but.. I DON"T HAVE PLANS FOR MONDAY!!!! I will put up after pictures then.

IT'S BEGINING TO LOOK ALOT LIKE AUTUMN

Friday was such a wonderful day, the sun was so bright and the weather in the 70's. Mike and I decided to run to the apple orchard, we had know clue what kind would be available this early but hey let's just get out and take a drive. We went to our favorite orchard and she said they where not picking until Saturday. Put they did have some different kinds available to purchase. Darn We wanted to pick plus it is cheaper. Hubby is all about being thrifty, Then the lady said well heck we are starting tomorrow and you are here now go ahead. YES!!! so she directed us to the tree and away we went up this trail.
Just look at this tree, does this look like it would have been in the garden of Eden? It was breath taking. The sky and sun and all these trees with tons of apples...

See these apples they are ours now..they looked so perfect. The apples we picked are called Gala.

You are busted, Oh OK of course you have to see if they were any good!!! YEP sweet crisp and this was the first apple picked of the season for this orchard.. We will be back the end of September early October for the Golden Delicious...
