Ooops !!!!
Sorry the last post I forgot about the last two pictures!!! I got so carried away with the airport story I thought I was done. Well the one picture was of dear Hubby and Autumn again at the harbor and the last picture was Hubby and I going in to eat at the restuarant called CHEERS after the tv show that was pretty popular. And the food was very good...Ok now I am done woo hooo
Last Day We Spent In Boston
This is taken at Boston Harbor. It was also a cool day, and very very foggy all day. Watching the boats was so peacefull, and calming. Of course Paris as we call her needed a picture taken of her...It had been 4 steps since we took one of her..LOL
This week Michael Jackson had passed away, and this was a group of guys that did street dancing and we stopped in the park to watch. They did a tribute to him, and played his songs. They were really entertaining and funny. There was a big growd around very fast, this was takin right before they started.
Downtown in Boston at the Harbor this was around 1 p.m. and look at the fog. We thought we better check the airline to see if flights were still on time. Well then they were but when we got to the airport, lets just say flights all over the U.S. were delayed. Oh boy we were to leave at 7:15 and they already moved us till 9:00p.m. Not only was the fog a problem they were having problems with landing equipment for the planes..... then our plane was circleing in the sky for awhile and then they said it needed to go over to Rhode Island to get gas and would be back at 10:40.......then it went to 11:40. We called our airline and got a flight out for the next day no charge. So we called the hotel to get a room we stayed at the night before and all was good then they came back on the phone and said I'm sorry we are all sold out!!!!What!!!! So now they are saying in the airport our plane has left Rhode Island and will be in at 12:50 a.m. YAHOOOO we are all excited and other flights by then were leaving none of it made since. So when our flight landed in Boston and the passangers started coming of the plane that they were stuck on for over 8 hours we all started to clap and say WELCOME TO BOSTON!!!!! Boy did they look bad.. we had an 8 hour wait but we were in the airport not a plane. But we did get home safely at 2:40am.... I called my dad to come get us and we were home and in bed very pleased it was our own and had a wonderful nights rest. I am now finally done with our New England Trip. And what a trip it was.....We had great time being together... I love you Hubby and my Autumn. Of course my Michael we missed not having you with us. He had a great time with grandpa and grandma at home.....Thank you Lord for all the Memories we have and for a safe trip. Our Final Days In New England!!!!
This is the top of the parking deck we parked on the 7th floor down around Boston Harbor. This is downtown Boston. It was really nice and plenty to do.
They have a tour thru Boston we took on what was called a duck. They used them back in the war days and it goes from land to water. An yes that is exactly what we did, from streets of Boston into the Harbor. Well when we got into the Harbor guess who got to drive us around and under a bridge???? Yep it was Autumn, she did pretty good to with alittle help. We took the last trip out in the evening it was gorgous... Alot of information was givin and our guide was hilarious.
This is what the Duck looked like. and we even got the patriotic one. The Cost was 25.oo per person and the tour was about 1 1/2 hours long.. But what you don't know is after 2hours in the parking deck it cost 35.oo... ouch. But we went back the next day and guess what??? we had to pay another 35.00 for day two...We did enjoy our time though.Lobster Dinner Al fresco
Hubby says how can you go to New England and not have Lobstha Dinner.. So he and Autumn had there Lobstha's sitting outside at a Circle K Table outside. Needless to say I took pictures. It was drizzly, and cold out at the end of june it felt like fall. So I saved a Table and they went here to Mike's, picked a couple lobsta's out had them cooked got some drawn buttha, plates fork and napkins. They ran across the street and got 6 hard rolls from the bakery and buttha. They are now good to go.
Here we are back at Circle K picnic table, thanks to hotel towels we had a tablecloth, and away they went cracking it open. Alot of OOOO and AHHHH'S, and OH HONEY YOU HAVE TO TRY IT, COME ON MOM IT IS SOOOO GOOD. Ok I did eat a couple bites I don't think they wanted me to like it to much because they were intense and loving every bit of them.
Autumn had her claw all ready to eat... Saying come on mom look at this....How could she not love it Daddy was getting all the good meat out for her and she was dunking away in the buttha. I don't think they knew anyone else was around, what a sight...What matters is they enjoyed every bit and made some sweet memories.Thursday, July 2, 2009
Part two of New England
Mommy and her Autie sitting at the ocean, it can't get better than the ocean, a breeze, good book, the sound of the ocean waves and watching Gods creation, and every time I'm still in ahh. Our God spoke and the ocean is... I really liked the New England looks of the homes and building here. Today was Sat. and about 72 degrees we tried to get some sun and it felt sooo good.
Here is the dynamic duo again this time Autumn is showing her Daddy her snail she found by the rocks. Autumn loves to dig and find things at the ocean like sand crabs and snail, sometimes we have no clue what she had in her hand. She is to funny.
Look Look.... I found a snail..... One minute girly girl next minute well ....we never know with her.Our New England Trip
Wow these are Lupines, and are so pretty. In New England they have these all along the roads. it is so nice driving and seeing these just swaying and in big groups of purple coloring. An yes, of course I started our trip blog out with flowers, we just love flower gardens.
It was just the three of us on this trip, and boy did we miss our oldest. But our little princess thought putting gas in the car each time was alot of fun... (now those that know us know you wouldn't catch me doing this) LOL. So daddy and Autumn did the gas thing each time.
This is my wonderful Hubby coming out of his soon to be new office in three weeks. It is very nice and he had some info he needed so we stopped by to see. This trip was a vacation/work trip for Hubby and we got to come along with him. He enjoyed us there. He has many stores up here and has a group of his people that work out of this office as well as his office here at home. We are so very proud of him and thankfull to God for his job and the wonderful people the work in his region. It is such a blessing that Hubby has a job and that he loves what he does. Thanks Honey for taking care of us and all the hard work you do ( even though we tease you on how hard u work)
Here is Hubby and I on the Hertz bus going from airport in Boston to get our rental car.. and it was raining!!!!
Here is Autumn and this is all new to her. She has never been to Maine or Boston. She did pretty good this week. We left our home town around 7:30 am and got in to Boston at 8:50 am it is a straight flight. So we had 7 full days away. It wasn't the best weather for this time of year but we were together and made lemonade every time we got a lemon......(rain, cold, wind)
